Cottesmore Historical Group

Team Stormzy had an inspiring afternoon hosting visitors from the Cottesmore Historical Group. Together, we explored what life in Cottesmore village and Kendrew Barracks would have been like during World War II, using a range of primary evidence and artefacts. I was also proud to share some special family treasures — my grandma’s Land Army medals, certificates, and scrapbook — which helped bring the history to life. Our discussions highlighted the vital contributions women made during the war and how their efforts shaped both local and national history.
