At Cottesmore Academy, we want every child and family to feel 'safe, welcome and proud to be part of our community'. We have high aspirations for all of our children and want them to believe that they can achieve great things. Cottesmore is a very special school. Situated on Kendrew Barracks, we are proud to serve a wonderfully diverse community, with all of our children coming from Service families. Our children and families bring with them a rich mix of cultures and experiences, including British, Fijian, Nepalese, African and Caribbean heritage.

This diversity is one of the things that makes our school so special. We celebrate the different backgrounds, experiences and traditions that our families bring to Cottesmore, using them to enrich our curriculum and help our children develop a real understanding and respect for the world around them. We believe that being at school should be one of the best times of a child’s life – and we work hard to make sure it is! We want our children to enjoy coming to school, to feel confident in who they are and to be excited about what they can achieve. We encourage every child to: Think deeply about their learning.
