E-Safety
Would you allow or encourage your child to ‘Talk to Strangers?’
Does your child have access to the internet?
As part of our commitment to keeping children safe we would like to draw your attention to a new mobile app and social media website called Omegle. This site is a free virtual chat room, which has the strap line ‘Talk to Strangers’.
We have been alerted to the potential dangers of this site, which does state but not appear to enforce an age limit. It is easy for your child to sign up without entering any details and they can be chatting to strangers within seconds.

COMPUTING
We offer a wide range of computing opportunities to our pupils and believe in teaching the skills needed to access the technology on offer in the modern world. Children use our Computer Suite, class computers, laptops and iPads across the whole curriculum.
ESafety is very important. We have assemblies, focus weeks and regular class discussions about the importance of using technology wisely and safely.
