COVID 19 school information
We are proud to have welcomed back all our pupils back in September and love having all our Cottesmore team back together. Since the beginning of June we were pleased to say that we have had 84% of our pupils back at school. Most pupils came back for two days a week although our Year 5 and Year 6 team returned to school for 4 days a week. Throughout lockdown our staff have worked hard to provide daily remote learning and individual feedback to each of our pupils.
The Government tell us that:
School attendance will therefore be mandatory again from the beginning of the autumn term. This means from that point, the usual rules on school attendance will apply, including:
- parents’ duty to secure that their child attends regularly at school where the child is a registered pupil at school and they are of compulsory school age;
- schools’ responsibilities to record attendance and follow up absence
- the availability to issue sanctions, including fixed penalty notices in line with local authorities’ codes of conduct
In the case of any further interruptions to school or if a child is advised by their doctor that they must shield, we will continue to offer remote learning.
