This week we will be finishing our weight and volume learning and then starting our new learning on multiplication. This also means we will be finishing of textbook 1B and moving on to textbook 1C!
On Friday (8th May 2020), it will be exactly 75 years since VE Day.
VE Day - or 'Victory in Europe Day' - marks the day towards the end of World War Two (WW2) when fighting against Germany in Europe came to an end.
On 8 May 1945, Prime Minister Winston Churchill made an announcement on the radio at 3pm that the war in Europe had come to an end, following Germany's surrender the day before.
This week, your activities are all about celebrating and remembering VE Day and those people who lived through the Second World War. Below you will find a lesson plan and the taught lesson that goes with it! I have also included some links to the Rutland County Museum, which we going to go to as our class visit! There is some great activities for you to have a look through.
We will also continue our learning on the Art Masters. This week we will be looking at Salvador Dali. His art work is really out there, so have fun recreating his style!
