Today, you are going to be learning about coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.

Here you will need to read through the information and have a go at the activities.

Finally, you need to have a go at the activities

 

Activity 1 is ‘Colin’s Coordinating Conjunctions Challenge’. (The sheet for this activity is saved below.) You need to read the sentences carefully and decide which coordinating conjunction ‎should be used in each one. ‎You can either complete the activity on the sheet or write the completed sentences in your English book. 

For Activity 2, you need to complete the 'Computer Malfunction' activity sheet.  (This sheet for this activity is saved below. You need to match up the correct main clause to the correct subordinate clause so that ‎the sentences make sense. ‎You can either complete the activity on the sheet or write the completed sentences in your English book. 

For Activity 3, you need to copy and complete the sentences on the bbc bitesize website, using coordinating conjunctions. 

For Activity 4, you need to copy and complete the sentences on the bbc bitesize website, using subordinating conjunctions.
