Today, you are going to be learning about paragraphs. (We have done some learning about this before so it should be a recap, but an important one, as paragraphs help to guide the reader through your writing.)

Firstly, you will need to watch the short video clip to remind yourself about what paragraphs are and why we need to use them in our writing.
Then, there is some information you will need to read.
Finally, you need to have a go at the activities. (Use the activities below not the ones on the BBC Bitesize website.)
For Activity 1 (below), you need to read each piece of text and write a sentence to explain what the paragraph is about. You can complete this activity on the sheet or you could write your sentences in your English book.
For Activity 2 (below), you need to read through the information. It is very jumbled up because paragraphs, headings and subheadings haven't been used. Re-write the information into organised paragraphs in your English book to make it clear and easy to understand. Make sure you remember to include headings and subheadings!
