Day 4

In the Challenge, the children consider which numbers are odd. Sparks prompts children to use the strategy of sharing counters into five frames to identify equal groups. Together, discuss which numbers can be shared into two equal groups and which numbers have one left over. Ash encourages children to look for the pattern in their answers (every other number can be shared equally) and to use this to predict what will come next.
