Police Workshop - 31st March 2017

PC John Scott and PCSO Claire Gilbert visited and talk about how the children could keep themselves safe in the community and online. We considered stranger danger and things within the environment that could cause use harm. We had a story where the children identified the possible dangers and considered what they should do instead. Lastly we thought about how we could keep ourselves safe online and risks that might face the children there. We also looked at what the police do in our community and the different job roles. A number of children got dressed up and played a variety of roles in a mock burglary situation. Children considered how the different roles worked together to catch the criminal.

Spring Term Curriculum Overview and Homework

This spring term our focus has moved to India. We will be learning all about the culture and geographical features of the country. Please open the Spring Term Curriculum Overview to find out about what we are learning. Also, please open the homework document to discover what your exciting homework challengers are.

Indian Day - On Wednesday 25th January, we had our Indian dance workshop and curry making sessions. We had great fun learning a variety of move and we even got a chance to make our own mini routines. As a class we made our own chickpea curry. We prepared and cooked the ingredients together. But I think most will agree the best bit was tasting it at the end! Yum yum!

Year 3/4 Recorder Assembly

On Friday the 25th November Year 3/4 showed the whole school and their parents what they had been learning in their recorder lessons. We were really proud of our concert. Each class played a number of songs and sung our favourite songs.
