PWA

The Prince William Award

(PWA)

For the 2018/2019 academic year, our class have been extremely lucky to be selected as candidates for the Prince William Award (PWA). This is an award that is run by an education charity called Skillforce, similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Skillforce lead the way in how character and resilience is taught in school, helping children to reach their potential and become responsible citizens.

Skillforce also support ex-Forces personnel, training them to become Skillforce Instructors. They act as role models, mentors and coaches throughout the PWA course, using their skills, knowledge and experiences. Year 4's instructor is known as Stu. He has a fantastic rapport with the children to the point of pupils in our class renaming our Tuesday sessions as "Stu's-day!"
